Didn't the smart US banks dump their loans on the European banks? Aren't US banks leveraged 10:1 whereas European banks have no limit and average 35:1??

I'll be more than happy to put my money in an American bank. Not in some swiss bank only to get ratted out later :P

This post doesn't reflect my views on the banks at all. I put it up there because this is what the "bears" use to prove that our financial system isn't safe.

There is no way in heck, anybody can tell us, with any degree of certainty, the healthiness of the banks by using just a compliation of the ratings from the agencies and throw out a chart.

Six months ago, I believe Wells Fargo was rated 21, now it's ranked 42.

In my opinion, it is more of a marketing piece.
