The Potash comeback tour!

On October 6, I touted MOS and POT at 46 and 86. Today Merrill Lynch says POT is in play, and BHP could bid for the company at a 30% premium to current prices.

Just another "As Advertised!"

Today, Barron's announces the M&A screen. They start out with the names Goldman touted last week which are these numbers:

Goldman's screen churns up a long list with names like Health Net (HNT), WellCare Health Plans (WCG), Devon Energy (DVN), Brocade Communications (BRCD), Citrix Systems (CTXS), Red Hat (RHT), SuccessFactors (SFSF) and Leap Wireless International (LEAP).

And then Strategas comes up with these names in technology as takeout possibilities:

Arris Group (ARRS), Blue Coat Systems (WBSN), Websense (WBSN), Diodes (DIOD), Epicor Software (EPIC) and Radiant Systems (RADS).

Eight months after manufacturing supposedly picks up, is when deals are supposedly supposed to happen.

Maybe the Investment Banks need to convince someone else to take their inventory off of their hands!

So Barron's, who can't pick a stock, now pretends it can pick a takeover!
