Organic farming yields

The USDA came out with the latest figures on Organic farming.

$3.16 billion in sales in 2008, on 4.1 million acres.

That's $770 an acre. One acre is .404686 hectare (ha)

Whole Foods alone did $8 billion of revenue last year.

Someone isn't counting something!

But it sure leaves a lot of acreage for fertilizer.
