NY Times pension obligation exceeds $625 million

Billionaire Carlos Slim invested $250 million in the NY Times a couple weeks back, and the stock still couldn't get off the floor. Now we have the news that the NY Times pension obligation deficit went from $48 million to $625 million.

According to the NY Post, the pension obligation of the S&P 500 companies, went from a surplus of $29 billion to a deficit of $746 billion.
