Jesse quotes Goebbels

"Everyone" knows that the latest Government figures keep pushing the envelope of incredulity. However, one of the best explanations for this comes from the Barrick gold manipulation case, aided and abetted by JP Morgan; the parties were just doing the "service" of the Government.

This route, taken to the extreme, leads Jesse to quote Joseph Goebbels who said:

“It is the absolute right of the State to supervise the formation of public opinion...If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and military consequences of the lie."

This weekend we got the second derivative response in China--remember last month?

How then, do the State's lies, then work in the Internet age?
