The shorts description of the stock market reminds me of this lady from Holland. If someone had told you that you were being set up on a blind date with a woman in excess of 250 lbs, you might be apprehensive. But once you've seen her, you'd realize how stupid your thinking was.

It's the same with the stock market. The shorts want you to believe the whole world is heading into a depression, dragged down by the US with subprime and monolines the culprit. Once you take a real look at their arguments, you see it is a canard.
