That's because we had a decline of 450,000 workers in the workforce! I guess these workers are doing so well they don't need to work. 38,000 jobs added by the government means we lost 101,000 jobs in the private sector. And the "unemployment rate" goes down to 4.8%.
That's how government counts jobs in an election year. Best that I can figure, the only discouraged worker of the 450,000 was Brett Favre!
