The Fed gave the blink that the market wanted. Increased turbulence... tightening in households... business investment and housing worse... markets have taken back some of the easing with the deterioration in credit conditions...no moral hazard... policy needs to be nimble, and pragmatic...
So the Fed eases.
Maybe now we can mothball some of these publicity seeking bears, who want attention more than they want to be right.
If Fed lowers rates, what does that mean? Lower loan demand, lower business activity, lower profits, lower stock prices.
